Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 was recorded at 5.03% (yoy) whereas the agricultural sector grew by 4.73% (yoy). Meanwhile, the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sectors contributed 0.04% of national GDP growth. The performance of this sector is shown by the achievement of an export value of USD 1.09 million and contributing 1.62% to total exports during the first quarter of 2023.

The 42nd ASEAN Summit was officially opened by President Joko Widodo on Wednesday (10/05) at the Meruorah Hotel, Labuan Bajo. The Summit activities will last for 2 (two) days from May 10 – 11, 2023. The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto was also present to accompany President Joko Widodo in the opening ceremony.

At the event, as Chairman of the National Steering Committee for Indonesian Participation as Official Partner Country at the 2023 Hannover Messe, Coordinating Minister Airlangga welcomed President Joko Widodo and German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz.
The meeting between the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto and the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action Germany Robert Habeck in Berlin took place after the Coordinating Minister Airlangga accompanied the entire series of activities of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo at the Hannover Messe 2023 in the morning, namely the Opening of Partner Country Indonesia National Pavilion at the 2023 Hannover Messe, visit the booth co-exhibitor Indonesia and Germany at the exhibition site and attended the opening of Indonesia – Germany Business Summit event with President Joko Widodo and Germany Chancellor, Olaf Scholz. With a distance of about 3 hours by train between Hannover-Berlin, Coordinating Minister Airlangga and his entourage immediately visited the office of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate in Berlin and held a bilateral meeting with Minister Habeck.
